SpeQtral is a Singapore-based startup developing quantum-secure communication systems.

Technology

The startup uses Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technologies to create a secure communication network. They have both terrestrial-based and space-based solutions, and can integrate both into a comprehensive system.

Intellectual Property

SpeQtral has licensed technologies and know-how for developing compact quantum light sources from the National University of Singapore's Centre for Quantum Technologies.

Traction

In 2024, SpeQtral signed an MOU with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), DBS, HSBC, OCBC, UOB, and SPTel to study the application of QKD in financial services in Singapore.

They also have partnerships with SES Satellite (a Luxembourgish communications satellite operator), Toshiba, and ST Engineering.

The startup has integrated their technologies into the UK Research and Innovation's Rutherford Appleton Laboratory Space’s quantum comms satellite.
