BeeX is a Singapore-based startup that develops Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, with a focus on Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (HAUV).
Technology
BeeX's HAUVs are used for inspections of underwater infrastructure in the maritime, energy and defense sectors. Their underwater computing platform, A.IKANBILIS, allows the HAUV to highly responsive to underwater conditions and operate autonomously with little operator skill[1].
Traction
By 2025, the startup had served over 20 clients, in locations ranging from Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan to the Netherlands, Germany and the UK[2].
Accolades
In 2020, BeeX won first prize in the Port Innovation Ecosystem Reimagined at the Pier71 Smart Port Challenge for the application of AUVs to maritime inspections[2].
Funding
The startup raised a $2 million bridge round in 2023, co-led by Earth Venture Capital and ShipsFocus Ventures[3].
Led by IMC Ventures, BeeX closed a seed round in November 2021[4]
