Umami Bioworks is a SIngapore-based startup developing cell cultured seafood. It was previously known as Umami Meats, prior to its' merging with Shiok Meats in 2024.

In May 2025, the startup announced the signing of a joint development agreement with Maruha Nichiro, one of the largest seafood companies in Japan, to develop and commercialise cell-cultivated tuna[1].
