Instruction for single Unicode character causes printability conflict

"...use {{R from Unicode character}} in addition to this redirect template if the title consists of a single Unicode character."

However, {{R from Unicode character}} categorizes redirects as unprintworthy, while this template categorizes redirects as printworthy, and neither appears to accept a parameter that would override the aforementioned printability categorizations. For example, I have encountered this on 🥰.

What should be done to fix this? Should the instruction be removed? Should a printability override be added to one or the other template? It depends which printability we think is correct. --SoledadKabocha (talk) 03:59, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

Casing

Currently the names of emojis are in title case - perhaps that's also what is wanted for DEFAULTSORT. However, the CLDR has changed to all lower case for short names eons ago. Should we update them all? Dpleibovitz (talk) 18:49, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

I think it definitely does make sense to update the names. DEFAULTSORTs are case insensitive anyway, so it shouldn't matter. ~ Eejit43 (talk) 18:18, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
