Purpose

This redirect category (rcat) template sorts redirects into one of two categories:

Category:Redirects to MOS namespace – for PNRs and CNRs or
Category:Redirects to MOS pages – for MOS namespace redirects to other MOS pages

This rcat also populates the following:

Category:Unprintworthy redirects – only redirects from main-article namespace (mainspace)

Please do not alter the printworthy settings of this rcat without first notifying the Version 1.0 Editorial Team, who are responsible for any and all materials, including redirects, that go into a printed version of Wikipedia.

Usage

Apply this rcat to a redirect in the following manner:

#REDIRECT [[MOS:(target page name)]]

and when the redirect is in article mainspace, printworthiness should also be tagged:

Template {{Rcat shell}} is an alias for the Redirect category shell template, which may be used to add as many appropriate rcats as needed, usually from one to seven, along with their parameters, to a redirect. For more information see the documentation on its template page. This rcat may also tag a redirect individually:

Use this rcat on all redirects to a page in the MOS namespace from any redirect, whether it is in the MOS namespace or not. These redirects will automatically be sorted to two different categories depending upon whether they are inside or outside the MOS namespace.
