While we recognise that LLMs are a significant technological innovation and many of the Deep Tech solutions on this Wiki cannot exist without them, LLMs are not the right fit for level of trust necessary on this Wiki.
While we recognise that LLMs are integral to some Deep Tech solutions, they lack the reliability necessary for the standards of trust and verification required for this Wiki.

Policy on AI-generated content

Pages created entirely or largely with the help of artificial intelligence is not accepted. This is aligned with the position taken by official Wikimedia Projects, of which Wikipedia is a part of.

The reason for this position is simple: LLMs virtually always fail to properly source claims and often introduce errors. This is incompatible with the Deep Tech Wiki's purpose of providing accurate ecosystem information and industry knowledge.

While we recognise that LLMs are integral to some Deep Tech solutions, they lack the reliability necessary for the standards of trust and verification required for this Wiki.

Measures against AI content

Where AI content is suspected, the following measures may be taken:

  • The content may be summarily deleted
  • Users who show high tendency to use AI-generated content may be monitored and/or restricted from making further contributions

Exceptions

AI-generated content may be accepted
