Usage

This template should not be substituted nor used to tag soft redirects.

Template usage

Use this rcat to tag mainspace redirects that are abbreviations that follow the MathSciNet standard for serial (e.g. mathematics journal) abbreviations. An example usage of this rcat is Amer. Math. MonthlyThe American Mathematical Monthly.
Add this rcat to a redirect page (not a talk-page redirect) in the following manner:

This rcat formats redirect page titles in italics by default.
This redirect category (rcat) template places pages into both Category:Redirects from MathSciNet abbreviations and Category:Printworthy redirects by default.
