:This template allows an optional date parameter that records the month and year for when the template was transcluded. If this template is added without the date parameter, [[User:AnomieBOT/source/tasks/TagDater.pm|the date parameter will be added soon after]] by [[User:AnomieBOT|a bot]].

:Because it may not be immediately apparent to other editors what the inconsistency is, it is generally helpful to add a brief reason for the tag.
